4-PLAYER 38K CHARITY INVITATIONAL

What:

A tournament among four of the best players on the planet, battling as champions of 4 charities, including: XPRIZE, and Kiva (the rest to be announced shortly). Each player will be assigned as champions of one charity. Their placement within the tournament will determine how much money will be donated to that charity. The prize pool will be $38,000.

• 1st place: $20,000
• 2nd place: $10,000
• 3rd place: $5,000
• 4th place: $3,000

XPrize:

The X PRIZE Foundation is an educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to create radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity thereby inspiring the formation of new industries, jobs and the revitalization of markets that are currently stuck. Today, it is widely recognized as the leader in fostering innovation through competition.

Kiva:

Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur across the globe. By combining microfinance with the internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Single Elimination:

The first round will be a best three out of five. (Blistering Sands, Kulas Ravine, Metropolis, Steppes of War, Lost Temple)
The 3rd/4th place match will also be a best three out of five. (Steppes of War, Metropolis, Lost Temple, Scrap Station, Blistering Sands)
The final match will be a best four out of seven. (Metropolis, Lost Temple, Blistering Sands, Kulas Ravine, Steppes of War, Metropolis, Blistering Sands)

Players:

The players are world-class Starcraft II professionals and their names will be announced shortly.
