Art Contest

What is the SC2BayArea Art Contest?

We know you’re out there – talented, passionate artists who love StarCraft and want to share your creations on a wide audience of appreciative fellow StarCraft fans. We want to showcase your best work and pay you for your talent!

How Does it Work?

We are accepting two types of artwork:

  • Traditional poster-sized images of your own design featuring images inspired by the StarCraft universe (this could be your favorite unit, two SC2 units battling each other, a portrait of a StarCraft personality). In addition to winning a free VIP ticket to SC2BayArea 2010 (US$125.00 value), you will be recognized on our stage by appreciative StarCraft fans and we will prominently showcase your portfolio’s URL to both our attendees and our livestream audience.
  • Line-art that can be etched into the back of a 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Can my art or etch art be about anything?

Yes, as long as it’s original artwork, and as long as it fits the StarCraft theme. Inappropriate submissions will be disqualified at our discretion.

What Rights do I give up to participate?

Many art contests insist that you surrender 100% of your rights to your creation toparticipate, whether the sponsor uses your artwork or not. We feel this is somewhat unfair – consequently, we word our agreement a bit differently. If your creation isnʼt selected as one of our finalists, you retain 100% of your ownership to your creation.

Can I submit multiple entries to the art contests?

There is no limit to the number of submissions, but there is a limit of one prize per household.
